Education Charities

Kids at school In the developing world, as everywhere, it’s education that provides children and adults with the skills they need to address social issues, break the cycle of poverty, and improve the health and well- being of their communities.

Prospero uses the term in two ways.

Firstly and echoing the UN Millennium Development Goal that by 2015, children everywhere will be able to complete a full course of primary schooling, Prospero uses the term to highlight targeted projects that deliver education either through a formal or an informal curriculum. This includes both primary and secondary educational projects.

Secondly, Prospero uses the term to highlight organisations undertaking educational projects to benefit the community at large. This includes disease prevention, health education, skills training and social change.
