Contact us about supporting EDM

EDM devises, launches and monitors programmes for entrepreneurial development. The charity specialises in providing training and follow-up assistance to support its microcredit loans. They are also diversifying into product-led initiatives with various companies to create employment. For example, EDM promotes the manufacture, sale and use of energy-efficient gas stoves in Burkina Faso.

Our assessment:

  • EDM is a strong promoter of responsible microcredit practices, ensuring that the families who are borrowing have the right mechanisms in place to grow their business and to pay back their loans.
  • EDM works in remote rural areas as well as in city centres. In some areas, it is the only aid agency present and the sole provider of microfinance initiatives.
