PAN Intercultural Arts, a London
based company working both in the UK and internationally, uses performance
art to encourage self-expression and promote deeper understanding of evolving
cultural identities.

Current funding priorities include:
- £20,000 to support a 4 week training course for members of a
Women's Resource Outreach Centre in Kingston, Jamaica.
- £10,000 towards a Refugee Arts & Integration project in
the UK.
- £5,000 for Creative Residencies for Deprived Young People in

about supporting PAN
PAN works with a diverse range of communities in the UK including refugees,
asylum seekers and victims of torture. Through their therapeutic use of
drama, dance, music, writing and film, PAN enables its beneficiaries to
participate in society again.
Internationally, PAN addresses dificult issues such as gender discrimination,
child marriages, and dowries. They also work with people affected by trauma,
including survivors of the Tsunami in Sri Lanka, and Cyclone Nargis in Burma.
PAN adapts their methods to train trainers who are then able to continue
work after PAN has left.
Our assessment:
- PAN's performances stimulate the audience to discuss issues they may
have previously avoided, and to do so within a safe space.
- PAN employs techniques that have a measurable impact, and are easily
replicated all over the world
- By 'training the trainers', PAN ensures sustainability and long-lasting
benefits.
