What is The Prospero World
Charitable Trust?
The Prospero World Charitable Trust (formerly known as The Trickledown
Trust) is a UK grant-making trust (registered charity 1125731). Working
together with Prospero World, The Prospero World Charitable Trust specialises
in supporting small, inspirational charities which are successful in their
field but which need investment.
The Prospero World Charitable Trust helps these charities to access the
funds they need by making grants and, in partnership with Prospero, recommending
their work to a growing network of individual philanthropists and other
funders.
Making a donation to The Prospero World Charitable Trust is a simple way
to give with confidence to interesting projects which have been hand-picked
for their success and sustainability.
How can The Prospero World Charitable Trust help you?
Donors:
- If you want to support international charitable work but do not have
the time or expertise to decide where to put your money, you can make
a tax-efficient donation to The Prospero World Charitable Trust and know
that the Trustees, with Prospero's expert help, will choose interesting
and appropriate projects to support.

in supporting or leave it entirely to the Trustees, either way we will

Who are The Prospero World Charitable Trust's Trustees?
The Trustees choose the projects which The Prospero World Charitable
Trust supports. They have a wide knowledge of the business and legal worlds
as well as the charitable sector. They do not receive any payment.
Murray Shanks was a barrister for 25 years and has recently
been appointed a circuit judge; he has been a volunteer in a small free
legal advice centre in West London for 20 years and was for a long time
the chairman of its board of trustees; he is also a trustee of Crisis, the
national charity for the single homeless.
Sian Hansen is the Managing Director of Policy Exchange,
an educational charity and the UK's leading centre-right think tank. She
is a director of The Women's Refugee Commission (USA) and Ludgate Environmental
Fund. Sian was formerly Head of Sales for Asian equities at Société
Générale. Prior to this she was an equity analyst and broker with Enskilda
Securities in Europe.
Nicholas Hornby is a founding partner of Cerno Capital
Partners LLP. He has 18 years investment experience. He was previously a
director of the Geneva based wealth management firm IWM Independent Wealth
Management S.A. Prior to this he worked for Credit Lyonnais Securities Asia
(CLSA) and in the Hong Kong and Singapore offices of Cazenove & Co.
