TWMAEW works with former prostitutes, victims of sex trafficking, incest, rape and domestic violence. Typically, victims have come from remote provinces or urban squatter areas with limited access to housing, clean water, education, medical care and other social services. The charity's support services include outreach work in sex tourism hotspots, medical assistance, drop-in centres which offer non-formal education and skills training, and both temporary and permanent residential housing.
Our assessment:
- TWMAEW reaches the most vulnerable women in the sex trade. This includes their outreach work in sex bars.
- TMAEW provides vocational training and education programmes which enable women to move on into alternative careers and ways of making a living through.
