The Zimbabwe Benefit Foundation
(ZBF) works to provide relief for the most vulnerable people in Zimbabwe
in rapidly changing conditions.

Grants of £28,500 have already been made to ZBF as a result of Prospero's
recommendations. This has helped ZBF to deliver a variety of projects
including feeding programmes, the rehabilitation of victims of political
violence, agricultural intervention and educational initiatives over a
3 year period.
Current funding priorities:
Support for ZBF's Helping Hands programme to enable up to 1.5 million
beneficiaries to cultivate their own crops, year round and become food
secure.

Contact us about funding the ZBF
ZBF excels in responding quickly to changing situations, and in providing
practical solutions to difficult problems. The charity works both on large-scale
projects, and with individuals in need of assistance or emergency relief.
Currently, ZBF is working with urban and rural populations, providing seeds
so that people can grow their own food and become self-sufficient.
Our assessment:
- ZBF is able to respond effectively to both ongoing and emergency situations
as they arise because they work with local groups on the ground in Zimbabwe.
- They have a proven track record of reaching people in desperate need
where other agencies have been unable to gain access.
- The charity is well managed, transparent and honest; they highlight
not only their successes but the challenges they face.
